The Dream Project
The Dream Project was started by Cuqui Jerez in 2013 and it is due to finish in 2016. It is an experiment on how to work and to produce. During this period Cuqui has produced a collection of fifteen pieces in different formats and with different subject matter, not necessarily related to each other. Although the Dream Project is a long-term project, it has been given very little projection because the process of creation of these pieces is very brief and provides a very immediate way of working, very much connected to the present. It is a research for desire in the present. In the Dream Project, Cuqui attempts to negotiate with the unknown in order to discover new identities in her work.
The project is divided into several phases, which end up generating an event open to the public. During these encounters Cuqui becomes the curator of her work and decides at the last moment which pieces/works from the collection under construction will be shown at that moment and in what way.
